EAC Banned, What Do I Do Now?

So you got yourself banned. Let's fix it.

First Time Ban

If this is your very first EAC ban, relax. It's not the end of the world. Typically some simple steps on your PC and home network will have you back in Rust within the hour.

If you were not being blatant and still got banned, do NOT inject the cheat again. Report the occurrence to us in Discord immediately and include what features you were using at the time. We need to know so we can investigate.

Step 1 -- Uninstall Rust Completely

Do not just uninstall through Steam. Download and use Revo Uninstaller to fully remove Rust from your system. This cleans up all leftover files, logs, and registry entries that EAC uses to fingerprint your machine.

  • Open Revo Uninstaller
  • Find Rust in the list and uninstall it
  • When prompted, select Advanced scan to find leftover registry keys and files
  • Delete everything it finds
  • Do NOT uninstall Steam itself -- just Rust

Step 2 -- Reset Your IP Address

You need to get a new public IP address. This is simpler than it sounds.

  • Visit whatismyipaddress.com and write down your current IP
  • Find your internet modem (not your router -- the actual modem from your ISP)
  • Unplug it from power completely
  • Wait at least 5-10 minutes
  • Plug it back in and wait for it to fully reconnect
  • Visit whatismyipaddress.com again and confirm your IP has changed
If your IP did not change, leave the modem unplugged longer -- some ISPs hold your IP lease for up to 30 minutes. If it still doesn't change after an hour, your ISP may assign static IPs and you'll need to call them or use a VPN.

Step 3 -- Reinstall Rust and Play

Reinstall Rust through Steam on a fresh account. Use VajonerMenu's built-in HWID changer before launching. 10 out of 10 cases, this will have you back in without issue and none of your other accounts will be affected.

Banned Multiple Times

If you've been banned more than once, this is a clear sign that EAC has hardware ID banned you. Your machine itself is flagged, not just your account.

Since VajonerMenu has a built-in HWID changer, you still have options. Perform all the same steps above:

The HWID changer spoofs your MachineGuid, MAC addresses, Product ID, Computer Name, and other identifiers that EAC checks. As long as the spoof is active before Rust launches, EAC sees a completely different machine.

Nuclear Option

If you've exhausted everything above and you're still getting flagged, the last resort is replacing a core hardware component in your PC. This generates a genuinely new hardware ID that no spoofer can replicate because it's real.

Any one of these will change your HWID at the firmware level. Combine it with the IP reset and a clean Rust install and you're starting from a completely clean slate.
